Brief & Idea.

In an effort to adapt to the growing needs of society, the Yale School of Forestry on July 1, 2020 announced their name change to the Yale School of the Environment to better reflect their diverse offerings and environmental contributions.

Result.

We developed a special issue of Canopy magazine, their biannual publication, announcing the school name change. Taking into consideration the readership, we addressed paragraph styles and captions to create a lasting, readable, publication. We also commissioned illustrations in order to include more color and variety within the magazine.

While the magazine was already printed on recyclable paper, we worked with the printer to investigate all aspects of the job. We were able to find a comparable, water-soluble glue that would make it that much more environmentally friendly.
